Ethics and Social Engagement

At Bison Works, we believe in the power of collective generosity to impact the world positively.

Our fundraising efforts are dedicated to supporting causes that truly matter. We believe in helping those in need and improving the health and well-being of the team within Bison Works.

Fundraising

We have raised money for numerous charities, including Tommy’s, Pancreatic Cancer UK and Alzheimer’s Society.

The team is currently participating in the London Marathon to raise money for Tommy’s Charity. This charity finds causes and treatments to save babies’ lives and provides trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support

Along with supporting these charities, the Bison team has been fundraising for local schools in the UK to improve their educational resources.

We are passionate about supporting communities around the world.

The Bison team joined Love Support Unite, a charity that empowers people with community-based projects that integrate education, enterprise, nutrition and health, lifting communities out of poverty into a cycle of sustainability.

As part of Love Support Unite, the Bison team helped raise funds for an ambulance that was then shipped across to Malawi, in which the Bison team volunteered to help their community.

Health and Wellbeing

Health and wellbeing are at the forefront of everything Bison does. It covers many areas, from physical, mental, and social health to emotional, social, financial, environmental, and occupational well-being.

To keep our minds and bodies sharp, we regularly take part in charity runs that raise money for good causes but also serve as a physical and mental challenge that will improve our wellbeing.

To encourage awareness and discussion of mental health struggles, we have a mental health first aider, Andrew Pope who serves as the point of contact for staff within Bison to discuss any mental health issues that they may be having.

Workplace Environment

Occupational therapy is paramount in any workplace environment, it is an approach that uses activity to promote good mental health and assist recovery. It can help people achieve outcomes that are important to them, like self-care and leisure activities. We encourage everyone to participate in physical or mental activities to improve their overall way of living.
